Core features

 

Edge AI computing power: Equipped with MediaTek’s 8th-generation 9TOPS NPU, this Mediatek core module board is built on a 6nm process and features an 8-core heterogeneous architecture. It delivers AI computing power that is nine times greater than entry-level chips (such as the Genio 350’s 1 TOPS), capable of running complex models like YOLOv7 to meet real-time processing demands in applications such as industrial defect detection and retail foot traffic analysis.

Multimodal interaction: As part of a comprehensive Mediatek AIoT solution, it supports dual-camera visual interaction via 2×MIPI CSI and ultra-clear dual display at 4K@60fps. Compatible with Android 15 and Linux systems, it is suitable for various scenarios including industrial human-machine interaction and retail interactive advertising, thereby expanding the boundaries of its applications.

Industrial-grade reliability: The Mediatek core module board offers an operating temperature range of 0~60℃ and a storage temperature range of -20~70℃. Paired with a wide voltage range of 3.4V to 4.35V, it can handle complex conditions such as industrial workshops and outdoor terminals, ensuring long-term stable operation.

Interface extension: This Mediatek AIoT solution features a rich array of interfaces including USB 2.0/3.0, UART, and MIPI-CSI, supporting both wired connections and WiFi/Bluetooth as well as 4G/5G expansion options. It enables flexible connectivity to peripherals such as industrial cameras and sensors, facilitating the development of customized devices.

 

 

Core configuration

 

Processor architecture: Equipped with the MTK G720 chip (optional G520 CPU, pin-to-pin compatible), it features an 8-core ARM Cortex processor (2 A78 cores + 6 A55 cores) with a main frequency ranging from 2.0 GHz to 2.6 GHz. The 2 A78 cores handle high-load computing tasks, while the 6 A55 cores ensure energy efficiency and balance in parallel multi-task processing, making it well-suited to meet the diverse computational demands of AIoT applications.

 

Process and Computing Power: 6nm process technology; equipped with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU, MediaTek’s 8th-generation NPU, and AI computing power reaching 9 TOPS. The advanced 6nm process effectively reduces chip power consumption and enhances operational stability. With 9 TOPS of high AI computing power, the device can efficiently support complex applications such as image recognition, edge computing, and intelligent data analytics, providing robust computational support for the smart features of terminal devices.

 

Memory and Storage: LPDDR5x 4GB (up to 16GB), UFS3.1 128GB; high-speed read and write capabilities to meet the demands of large-capacity storage and high-load operations.

 

Network connection: Supports 1*RGM II wired Ethernet, and can be expanded via SDIO/UART to enable WiFi and Bluetooth; PCIe 2.0 1-lane expansion supports 4G/5G connectivity, while UART can be used to extend NFC functionality—providing multi-mode coverage to meet communication needs across all scenarios.

 

Interface extension: It features 2*SDIO, 1*PCIe, 4*UART, 2*I2C, I2S, SPI, USB 2.0/3.0, GPIO, and 2*mipi_CSI interfaces; it provides comprehensive compatibility with a wide range of peripherals such as cameras and sensors, covering most AIoT connectivity scenarios.

 

Audio and video interface: 1eDP + 1 MIPI DSI (4K@60fps), 2 MIPI CSI camera interfaces, and 2 I2S audio interfaces; suitable for display, image acquisition, and external audio device requirements.

 

Operating System: Supports Android 15 and Yocto 5.0 (Linux); dual-system flexibility enables reduced R&D costs.
